Tune Inward Meditation Class

Tuesday, December 2610:00—10:45 AMProgram RoomIn Person at Woburn Public Library45 Pleasant St., Woburn, MA, 01801

Within each of us resides the wisdom of the entire universe, where answers to our curiosities and challenges await. To access these insights, all we must do is quiet the mind's chatter and turn inward, journeying through the gateway of our hearts to unveil the illusions and connect with our authentic selves.

This class is a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space, serving as a nurturing container for your inward exploration. Our session commences with a brief 3-5 minute introduction to a dharmic topic, followed by a 14-minute meditation. Afterward, we will engage in a sharing and reflective period lasting 5-7 minutes, fostering expansion and growth through thoughtful listening to our peers within our supportive circle. Here, we embrace openness, curiosity, and gentleness, free from judgment.

Depending on the week's theme, this class might engage in breathing exercises (pranayama) and guided meditations. Topics explored will be based on Yogic Sutras, Buddhist teachings, and Spiritual Psychology.

About the Instructor:

I am Dhivyaa Chelvan, the founder of Rooted Consciousness, a non-profit organization committed to making meditation accessible to everyone. As a seasoned yoga instructor with more than two decades of meditation practice, my journey has led me to a profound belief. I see the external challenges plaguing our world today – from climate change to systemic racism, oppression, and abuse – as reactions to, and manifestations of our collective unconscious traumas.

From where I stand today, I believe that by shining a light and awareness on our personal and shared unconscious patterns, beliefs, and imprints, we have the power to transform not only ourselves but also the world around us. It begins with self-care, self-healing, and self-respect. Over time, I aspire to see this compassion extend to the Earth and all of humanity, slowly but surely making our world a much better place for future generations to come.

Rooted Consciousness is a non-profit organization founded by Dhivyaa Chelvan with a mission to bring the transformative power of meditation, supported by the latest findings in neuroscience, within reach of everyone. Rooted Consciousness seeks to empower individuals to rediscover their inherent wholeness, catalyzing a positive transformation towards a healthier, more compassionate, connected, and peaceful world.
