Battle of Brienne (29 January 1814)
Following the disaster of the invasion of Russia and forced out of Germany Napoleon is at bay. Leaving his brother Joseph Bonaparte in charge of the capital, Napoleon departed from Paris with a small army to take on the converging Prussian, Russian and Austrian Armies. His plan is to defeat each army before they can combine into an overwhelming force. In the fading light and on the grounds of Napoleon’s military academy Prussian and Russian troops under the command of Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher desperately fight to hold their positions and prevent being cut off from the rest of the Allied Army.
Join us for a 28mm game of hand painted soldiers over a terrain to represent the battlefield. Come watch the moving diorama as the battle unfolds.
Please note: if you would like to join to play the game, please register! Everyone is welcome to come and watch the gameplay, but we ask that people hoping to actively play register.
This game and reenactment is for adult participants, but older kids (10+) are welcome to come and watch the battle play out as long as they are accompanied by an adult. We'll have activities for younger viewers to do alongside the game!
Registration for this event opens Saturday, February 1 at 9:00 AM.
