Photograph Digitization Day in the Archives: Bring in Your Own Photographs for Scanning

Monday, October 219:00 AM—12:00 PMArchivesIn Person at Woburn Public Library45 Pleasant St., Woburn, MA, 01801

This is an exciting opportunity to have your personal photographs professionally digitized by the Archivist!

If you’re interested in family history, chances are strong that you have albums and shoeboxes full of old family photographs. Knowing how to care for these precious heirlooms is important. Preserving the visual legacy of your forbears is a responsibility to enjoy, both today and for generations to come.

Attendees will have the opportunity to have a limited number of photographs scanned and digitized by the Archivist using our high quality archival equipment. Attendees must provide their own flash or external hard drive. The Archivist will be able to offer advice and guidance regarding storage, handling, and digitizing on your own.

*Important Note:* Due to the popularity of this program, those who have not yet attended a session will be given priority over those who have already attended. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Also, please note that this is a program geared towards an adult audience. While we adore children, the Archives is not always the best place for little ones!

Please note: When someone does not show up for a program they are registered for, they are taking away an opportunity for another member of the community. Patrons who are registered for an event they cannot attend are asked to cancel their registration at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to show up for programs two (2) times without notice will be grounds for being waitlisted for 30 days. Patrons who arrive 5 minutes or more after the program start time will be considered no-shows. They may be denied access after that time, and their spot may be given away to people on the waiting list.
