Learn about a 230-mile trail that arcs around the city of Boston from Newburyport to Kingston. The Bay Circuit Trail (BCT) provides access to communities like Woburn to parks and open spaces close to where you live and work. Learn how to walk, bike, and ski this trail that was nearly 100 years in the making.
Mystic Link Trail - Learn about a new recreational trail project even closer to "your own backyard" - the Mystic Link Trail! When complete it will be only minutes away by both private and public transportation.
The Mystic Link Trail is an ongoing project to create a network of connected open spaces between the Merrimack Valley and Boston for walking, hiking and biking. The trail uses a network of existing trails connected by secondary roads. The current trail runs from Andover to the Tri-Community Trail in Stoneham which connects to Horn Pond in Woburn. The MLT has also mapped a route from Mill Pond Reservoir in Burlington to Horn Pond.
