A 7-Week Journey from Idea to Finished Prototype

Have you ever wanted to make your own game? In this 7-week class, you’ll learn how to design, test, and produce a card game that’s all your own! Whether you’re into fast-paced party games or deep strategy, we’ll guide you through every step—from your first idea to a finished deck.

What You’ll Get Out of It:

By the end of this class, you’ll have:

  • A complete, playable card game made by YOU
  • A solid understanding of how games are created
  • The tools to pitch your game to a publisher—or just play it with friends!

You’ll set your own goal: make something for fun, or aim for something publishable. Your game, your rules!

The Only Rule:
Your game must use only cards, a regular deck in size and shape. No dice, tokens, or boards. But within that? The sky’s the limit! Your game can be silly, serious, simple, complex, solo or multiplayer. Any theme, any length.

We’ll meet once a week for 7 weeks. It’s super helpful if you can come to every session, but if you miss one, we’ll help you catch up!

Registration is required. This is a series, so you only have to sign up once to attend all 7 sessions.

Age limits: Open to kids 10+ working with an adult and/or in a family group, teens, and adults.
