From the rustic charm of Warli Painting to the intricate narratives of Madhubani, and the ancient rock shelters adorned with Bhimbetka Cave Paintings, this session promises to transport you to an era where creativity knew no bounds. Our session isn’t just about art; it’s about connecting with the soul of India. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a history buff, or simply curious, this exploration of ancient Indian arts promises inspiration, wonder, and a deeper understanding of our shared heritage.

About the speaker: Swati Athale’s artistic journey has been guided by a deep-rooted passion. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, she seamlessly wove her creativity into her career  trajectory. As a graphics designer for over seven years, Swati infuses every project with her expertise and imagination. Beyond her professional endeavors, she nurtures young minds at the Shishu Bharti School of Indian Languages, imparting cultural heritage knowledge. Swati’s commitment extends to her community involvement—whether through intricate rangoli art, cultural booth designs, or engaging painting sessions for children. As a valued member of the New England Marathi Mandal, she leaves an indelible mark on events, representing her hometown of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Swati’s boundless creativity and dedication continue to inspire, leaving a colorful imprint wherever she goes.

   

The Discover India Series is a program partnership between the Woburn Public Library and the India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB). This series explores India's rich culture and includes exciting forays into history, food, art and music.
