Get a Stronger Immune System: Prepare for Summer and Fall Based On Traditional Chinese Medicine

Tuesday, May 2111:00 AM—12:00 PMProgram RoomIn Person at Woburn Public Library45 Pleasant St., Woburn, MA, 01801

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), strengthening the immune system for the changing seasons involves a holistic approach that includes dietary adjustments, herbal remedies, and lifestyle changes. For summer and fall, it's recommended to focus on foods that nourish the spleen and stomach, the organs associated with late summer and considered central to digestion and immunity. Incorporating a variety of fruits and vegetables into one's diet, practicing mindfulness exercises, and considering TCM herbal formulas like Jade Windscreen can be beneficial. Additionally, acupuncture and moderate exercise are suggested to maintain balance and support the body's defenses.
