GarageBand Camp! Led by performer/producer/all-around-nice guy, GeNreal.

Session 1: intro to the editor, basic recording of sound/sample/lyric/beat, and typical process of making a song/beat/arrangement. GenReal will share some examples of sonic awesomeness. Students will work on their sample for the next class. Please note: this isn't just for music! Podcasts, sound effects, other samples are welcome.

Session 2: GenReal will share some insider tips and tricks while students are working with their file, trimming, adding filters and increasing the awesomeness. Students can work on this in class and ask questions while they work.   Students can continue on their creative journey with the idea of sharing their work with the class at the 3rd session.

Session 3: Open Studio Show and Tell! Share your creations and get some feedback from the group (not that you have to take it). Why did you do it the way you did it, any creative blocks, what you might build upon. At the end, GeNreal will share a project he's been working on.

Please note: students must have access to Garageband on an Apple device. Best for ages 10-15.
