Cookin' the Books: Lunchtime Edition

Friday, February 281:30—2:30 PMProgram RoomIn Person at Woburn Public Library45 Pleasant St., Woburn, MA, 01801

Due to popular demand, we're opening up a lunchtime edition of our monthly Cookin' the Books book club!

Cookin' the Books is a bookclub for people who love to cook — each month we get together and discuss a different cookbook. Each person registered makes a recipe from a chosen cookbook, brings it in and the group samples the recipes and discusses the pros and cons of the recipes and the cookbook. If you love to cook or bake and love sharing food with friends, Cookin' The Books is for you!

This month's choice is: Sweet Home Cafe Cookbook: A Celebration of African American Cooking from the National Museum of African American History & Culture.

Cookbooks will be available at the Circulation Desk. When you've decided on your recipe, please send an email with your choice and any questions to rbrenner@cityof woburn.com.

Please note: When someone does not show up for a program they are registered for, they are taking away an opportunity for another member of the community. Patrons who are registered for an event they cannot attend are asked to cancel their registration at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to show up for programs two (2) times without notice will be grounds for being waitlisted for 30 days. Patrons who arrive 5 minutes or more after the program start time will be considered no-shows. They may be denied access after that time, and their spot may be given away to people on the waiting list.

Registration for this event opens Saturday, February 1 at 9:00 AM.
