RESCHEDULED TO 2/9-----A Winter Wonderland: An Immersive Murder Mystery (for kids!)

Tuesday, February 27:00—8:00 PMOnline

Get excited about winter and take a fun, mysterious sleigh ride to the North Sky!

It's a snowy winter evening when one of Old Man Winter's gingerbread men has been found crushed (noooooooooooo!). Old Man Winter is devastated and will not let winter end until the mystery has been solved. As a detective you will interview characters like elves, gingerbread men & women, reindeers and more! It's up to you to figure out who did it. The longer we wait, the colder and darker winter gets. Can you help save winter before the sun disappears forever?

If your child loves mystery themed novels and detective shows, then this class will give them the chance to test their critical thinking skills in hypothetical situations based in fantasy and reality. They will learn how to excel in puzzles and riddles and will find themselves using lateral thinking to be more creative in their guesses. The puzzles and riddles will involve colors, wordplay, shapes and math. The mysteries will be presented to the class through images and text on the screen.

More about the class:

The presenter will narrate the story and explain each puzzle, encouraging students to use what they see or hear to make informed guesses. They will look for misdirection, and break down the steps necessary to solve the puzzles. Then, they will share and debate hypotheses with their classmates -ultimately working together to solve the mystery before class ends.

Zoom invites are usually sent out the day of the class.
